Meditation Resources

Dear friends,

When it comes to learning meditation I strongly recommend that you get training from a qualified teacher.

One on one personal instruction guarantees that you learn a practice correctly, and that you have a support group of other like minded individuals to associate with. Keeping the company of fellow meditators who share your same goal and aspiration will add encourage to your practice.

Learning meditation from a book, YouTube video or even from a blog will not provide you with the correct and full experience.

Although many meditation techniques are easy to do, proper instruction is needed. Look for a meditation tradition that has roots and a long proven history.

Kriya Yoga Meditation …

The practice of Kriya Yoga comes from a long lineage of teachers …

The ancient masters, Jesus Christ, Bhagavan Krishna, Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, Paramahansa Yogananda, Rajarsi Janakananda, and Shri Mrinalini Mata.

First published in 1946, and revised later, the book “Autobiography of a Yogi” recounts the many journeys and spiritual awakenings in the life of Paramahansa Yogananda.  It is a wonderful read for everyone on the spiritual path.

Kriya Yoga as taught by the Self-Realization Fellowship consists of first taking the 1-year mail order course, “SRF Lessons for Home Study.”  This provides spiritual knowledge and instruction on some meditation and energizing techniques.  Lessons are mailed to your house about every week.
